SPS Autocare FAQ

Faqs

Professional car detailing is a systematic process of cleaning, restoring, and protecting a vehicle inside and out. Unlike a standard car wash, detailing focuses on long-term preservation of paint, interior materials, and overall vehicle condition using specialized tools, products, and techniques.

A car wash focuses on surface-level appearance and speed. Professional detailing focuses on:
  • Paint decontamination and correction
  • Interior deep cleaning and material conditioning
  • Long-term protection against wear, fading, and oxidation
  • Preserving resale and trade-in value
Detailing is preventative maintenance—not cosmetic cleanup.

Detailing protects your vehicle's most expensive components: paint, interior materials, and trim. Regular professional care:
  • Preserves resale and trade-in value
  • Extends the life of leather, vinyl, plastics, and clear coat
  • Reduces future reconditioning and repair costs
Vehicles that are consistently detailed often retain significantly more value over time.

Frequency depends on driving habits, storage, and environment, but general guidelines include:
  • Interior detailing every 3–6 months
  • Exterior correction and protection annually or bi-annually
  • Ceramic and protection services maintained on a scheduled plan
We provide customized maintenance recommendations based on your vehicle and usage.

Our services include, but are not limited to:
  • Exterior and interior detailing
  • Paint decontamination and correction
  • Ceramic coatings and paint protection solutions
  • Interior protection for leather, vinyl, and fabrics
  • Engine bay detailing
  • Specialty restoration and consulting services
Every service begins with a consultation to ensure accuracy and value.

Detailing time varies based on the service and vehicle condition:
  • Standard detailing may take several hours
  • Paint correction and ceramic coatings may require 1–3 days
  • Specialty or restoration services may take multiple days
Quality results require proper time, lighting, and controlled conditions.

All professional protective detailing services are performed in a dedicated, enclosed environment designed to control temperature, lighting, and cleanliness. This ensures consistent results and protects your vehicle throughout the process.

Pricing is important, but more than that, customers should ask:
  • How long will the service take?
  • Where will the work be performed?
  • What products and methods will be used?
  • Are you insured?
  • What results should I realistically expect?
  • How should the vehicle be maintained afterward?
A professional detailer should welcome these questions.

Most clients describe their vehicle as dramatically cleaner, brighter, and more enjoyable to drive. While detailing cannot reverse physical damage, it delivers the maximum improvement possible without compromising safety or integrity.

Yes. Older vehicles often benefit the most from professional detailing because it slows deterioration, restores comfort, and preserves remaining value.

Professional detailing reflects:
  • Skilled labor and experience
  • Time-intensive processes
  • Premium materials and equipment
  • Proper facilities and insurance
You are paying for results, safety, and long-term value—not speed.

The new car is the right time to do paint protection services. The vehicle may have been stored in an open lot, transported in an open truck over long distances via road, exposed to environmental pollutants and iron dust. It is much easier to remove the thin film of contamination before further damage into paint and clear coat. Not much time or $ would be required for paint correction early on compared to 6 months of exposure on the open roads. The process is simpler to ceramic coat a new vehicle compared to an older vehicle. This translates into cost savings on a newer compared to an older vehicle. Going forward, it would be easier to wash and maintain the gloss of the ceramic coated vehicle.

The best first step is scheduling a consultation. We assess your vehicle, explain your options clearly, and help you choose a service that aligns with your goals and budget—without pressure.
